Benedik Genward of Human Rights Watch said that McKhowan is also "whitewashing the image" of Mohammed bin Salman without taking any promises from him on human rights.
Before the meeting, an aide to the French president said that the issue of human rights would be discussed as a common topic during the meeting. He said that to discuss the problems facing Europe, it is necessary to talk to all the important partners.
